Semester 1, 2026

Weekly Schedule

From Semester 1 of 2026, Sydney Beyond will introduce a refreshed training program designed to better support the growth and engagement of all our members. The new structure offers a variety of training options to meet different needs and aspirations:

Training Groups

-Koala

-Wallaby

-Fox

-Panther

-Lion

-Eagle

Additional Training Opportunities

-Private Lessons (Fencing / Fitness / Boxing) -optional, additional fees apply

-Group Fitness Sessions, open to all members

-Open Sparring (Epee), open to non-members at a floor fee of $30 per session

-International Camps & Pre-AFC Camps -optional, additional fees may apply.

We are proud to introduce animal-themed group names to reflect each fencer’s stage of development in a positive and inclusive way. Given that the majority of our members are young athletes, this approach avoids the traditional “Beginner–Intermediate–Advanced” labels, which can unintentionally impose hierarchy or pressure. Instead, each group represents a meaningful stage in a fencer’s personal journey, encouraging confidence, enjoyment, and a growth mindset.

Group Allocation

Each fencer will be placed into a group at the discretion of the coaching team, taking into consideration maturity, attitude, teamwork, and fencing skill level.

Please Note:
Training sessions and private lessons may occasionally be disrupted due to:
1. National or state competitions

2. Coaches being appointed by the Australian Fencing Federation (AFF) to lead international tours

3. Illness or unforeseen circumstances

We will always make every effort to communicate any changes promptly and reschedule where possible. We thank you for your continued understanding and support.
