Introduction
Let’s talk about what to expect after staying with us for a while.
We care a lot about your personal growth. If you will benefit from other resources, we will recommend and work with you.
This ladder shows you the general MOVEMENT TRAJECTORY and some things may happen at the same time.
State Competitions
Living in a city where there is a small fencing talent poule, it is absolutely critical to join the local competition to get extra experience.
We will recommend suitable competitions to our fencers to meet the challenges.
In particular, we will advise those who will be competing for the first time and debrief on the competition experience during the group lessons or private lessons.
In most cases, we will send the club coach to the State Competitions to help young fencers without extra cost to members.
State Squad
The State Squad is organized and managed byNSW Fencing Association. Please visit nswfencing.org.au for more information.
National Competitions
National Competitions are organized and managed by Australian Fencing Federation (AFF). THE AFF competition calendar can be found here, in all categories from U15, Cadet, Junior, Senior, all the way to Veteran category.
When considering embarking on your first National competition, you may discuss with your coach before registration.
If a club coach is assigned to accompany fencers to the National Competitions, the coach’s traveling cost will be shared among participating families.
National Squad
National Squad is organized and managed by Australian Fencing Federation (AFF), an important part of AFF’s High Performance Program (HPP)
Currently, there are two categories in the National Squad, Youth (10-15 years) and normal Squad members.
Non-youth category National Squad Members have the opportunity to represent Australia at international competitions subject to their rankings and selection results.
There are a range of different recourses offered to National Squad members and we will advise our members when they are ready to apply to join the National Squad.
More information can be found here.
Overseas Camps & Competitions
Overseas camps and competitions are always exciting!
Our Head Coach has plans to conduct overseas club exchanges, and to join more camps and competitions as fencers develop and the opportunities present.
Our members will be the first to know of overseas camps and competition plans.
Even better, from time to time, we will invite internationally recognized fencing Maestros to visit our club to host camps, or be a term coach!
